Welcome to beautiful Frankfort, Michigan the home of author Nicole L. Bates. Rochelle and Nicole discuss the feelings you get while writing a series, writerly advice, and Nicole’s sci-fi world.

Nicole grew up in Northern Michigan, exploring nature and devouring books. She has traveled the U.S., working as a speech-language pathologist in a variety of settings, and even managing an organic farm for two years in Illinois.

Nicole returned to Michigan with her family and now loves running the scenic trails of her home state, reading late into the night, and creating her own stories to share.

Author Talk: Interview with Dawn M. Paul

Meet Dawn she’s a reader, writer, artist, poet, yarnie, gnome-lover, Christian, wife, mom, and friend. This is the second time Rochelle interviews her (yes, part of the original interview was deleted). This time Sumi the Wonder-dog pays a visit.

They talk about Dawn’s writing and artistic faith-filled journey beginning young and blossoming in recent years. Dawn is member of several groups including SCBWI and NaNoWriMo. She offers sage advice in a writerly fashion. She has eight books published at this time.

Dawn lives in Ohio with her husband and has degrees and/or diplomas in Humanities, English Literature, Business Management, Travel, and Children’s Literature. She fancies herself a poet, writer, artist, reader, wife, mom, and lover of gnomes, color, yarn, books and God. She tends to see the world through rose-colored glasses and even sometimes, with a luminescent glow.

Author bio: A professional writer and editor, Beth has written everything from poetry and short stories to proposals for government contracts, science textbooks, and standardized tests (yes, you have her to thank for those!). Her real love is writing fiction, though, especially YA.

She loves to travel and has been to nine different countries (more if you count layovers!). At home or abroad, she can usually be found with her head in a book or madly scribbling down ideas for a book of her own. She loves spending time with family, stories of all kinds, and happy endings. Rochelle Bradley, author of the Fortuna, Texas series, interviews paranormal suspense author Cynthia Carver. They talk characters, gold prospecting, modern-day gypsies, next-to-be-published stories, mystical realism, #NaNoWriMo, and Ohio Fiction Writers. 

Author Bio: Cynthia Carver, born in Dayton, Ohio to Métis parents and a veteran of the US Navy, puts a paranormal spin on everything she does whether it is ghost hunting or camping. Often the photos she takes and shares on her website have images of other-dimensional beings. Her failure in life is cooking. Her family requests her to bring items such as paper plates, napkins, and utensils to family picnics.

Her dyslexia leaks into all phases of her life including her published work. She released the second story featuring her main character, Tracy Richards first. Meet Tracy Richards in Tracy’s debut novella, ‘The Missing Locket.’

On a timeline, ‘Small Bit of Justice’ happened to Tracy Richards before ‘Missing Locket.’ Each novelette, novella, and novel are stand-alone stories.
